LO4: Evidence of Focus Group Screening

Above are images from a focus group screening I carried out. The feedback from the group showed that my film is successful and entertaining. 

Strengths:
- "Appropriate music choice"
- "The GoPro shots worked really well"
- "The visuals cut well to the music"
- "Great variety of camerawork"
- "Good editing"
- "Tells a story and has a clear narrative"

Weaknesses:
- "Possibly slightly too long" 

Improvements:
- "Could include more shots of the scooters, the wheels etc"

LO4: Certification Proposal Based on Feedback

After reviewing, screening and gaining feedback on my video, I propose the age rating to be Parental Guidance (PG). I believe this is an appropriate age rating because the film is suitable for general viewing and doesn't promote any themes that are unsuitable for children. There are no references to sex, violence, drugs or inappropriate behaviour that children may copy. The feedback from the screening was unanimous as everybody agreed that the film should have a PG rating because "there is nothing overtly offensive or inappropriate in the video" however the consumption of alcohol is featured in the film and this must be considered.

LO3: Final Film

LO3: Linking Audio to Visuals & Applying Audio Effects and Transitions

As you can see in the above film rush I created, it was important that I linked the audio to the visuals perfectly so that the footage continued to show people dancing in time to the music. If I had not correctly matched the visuals to the audio, then the footage would have appeared strange because the people would be dancing out of time to the music. The majority of the audio I used in my final video was recorded during the events, so this made it easier to link the audio and visuals. 

I didn't apply any effects to the audio in my film, however I did alter the sound levels so that there is no fluctuation in volume. I did apply transitions to the audio so each clip linked to eachother and sounded smoother. These transitions included "Exponential Fade" and "Constant Power".

LO3: Producing & Reviewing Offline Edits

Review
After watching these offline edits, I concluded that there were several things that needed adapting, although the majority of the videos were appropriate and suitable. This included using less shots of the DJ in the evening do offline edit, and instead replacing these clips with more images of people dancing, because that is essentially what the video is about. Regarding the ride out offline edit, I realised I needed to adapt the audio in some places as the camera had picked up the sounds from the GoPro being adjusted. I also found that one of the clips at the end of the video was out of chronological order, and this looked unprofessional. 

In conclusion, to improve these offline edits I will:
- Add more footage of people dancing to the evening do offline edit
- Adjust the audio on the ride out footage and replace the out of order clip
