LO2: Following Safe Working Practices

When completing the recces for the locations I also carried out a risk assessment to identify any hazards, then stated how exactly I would reduce these risks. Therefore, when I filmed the footage at the locations I followed safe working practices in order to avoid these dangers. This involved making sure the stationary tripod cameras were safely and securely positioned to avoid tripping hazards and being aware of scooters and other vehicles moving around the locations. One of the most vital safe working practices was ensuring that when I filmed from the back of a scooter there was a back rest attached to stop me from falling off during the ride out.
